Band and hook gate hinges, also known as band and gudgeon gate hinges, are heavy duty gate hinges with removable hook pins for fitting to wooden gates. They are available in various lengths. The hook pin is fitted to the pillar or post with the band fitted to the gate. The gate is then offered up to the hook and lowered onto the pin allowing the pin to take the weight of the gate. Band and hooks are sold in pairs.
