The Arrow Electromagnetic Door Holder series is the ultimate solution for fire door safety and Ease of Access.

Linked to the buildings Fire Detection system, in either Hold Open or Swing Free mode the closers aid flow of traffic throughout the building, but shut automatically upon first detection of a fire.

The Hold Open option allows Barrier Free Access for all inhabitants of a building, whilst the Swing Free technology allows the door to function as if no door closer was fitted i.e. there is virtually no opening resistance.

This electromagnetic door closer is ideal for use in care homes, hospitals, clinics, municipal buildings, schools, colleges, libraries, theatres, pubs, clubs and hotels.

Meeting the requirements for Ease of Access

The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) and BS 8300 recommends the inclusion of Electromagnetic solutions to ensure standards for Ease of Access, Building Regulations, the Equality Act and Advanced Document M (ADM) are met.

Compared with traditional Mechanical Door Closers, Electromagnetic Door Closers have extremely low opening forces, and therefore are not materially affected by external factors such as hinges, seals, latches, air pressure and variable fitting standards & positions.

As can be seen from the table below our Electromagnetic Door Closers operate at a wide range of CE Powers and Door Widths, all meeting the requirements for ADM:
