From The Anvil hook and band hinges are ideal for barn or garage doors and are sold in pairs complete with fixing screws. This hinge is cranked to allow the door to be in line with the surface of the frame. There is no need for the hook plate to be morticed into the frame. Each piece is hot forged i.e. drawn to shape, not welded or fabricated. When buying t hinges you should use the general rule that the hinge should reach two thirds of the way across the door.
